A Food Crisis in Ohio? Or Just An Unfortunate Choice in Victim?

I first saw this at Michelle Malkin's blog (written by see-dubya) about the price of food forcing some people to stop buying meat, and a few other sites have pointed it out since. A sad enough story, until you see the picture accompanying the article at National Public Radio.

Now, I can understand the struggle to lose weight and keep with a diet -- because of gestational diabetes, I can't afford to NOT have some kind of protein in my diet or else my blood sugar goes sky high. On top of that, I'm one of those people who actually HAS a thyroid issue, making it harder to lose weight.

But even with that in mind, I couldn't help but laugh at this unfortunate pairing of article with picture. They're complaining about not being able to buy certain food, yet for some reason NPR decided to include a picture of them.

I think they can afford to cut back a LITTLE bit on what they had been buying, don't you?
