I had my ultrasound done today. We got to see all the little body parts as he squirmed around inside me. I have to go back in a few weeks so that they could get some pictures they weren't able to get this time because he kept moving around so much.
But as I'm lying there with the technician going over my belly with the ultrasound device to get all the body parts, I was excited and thrilled that my worries as a new mother were being quashed. Everything was fine, he was like a jumping bean throughout the exam, and his heartbeat was strong.
I'm looking at the pictures, and thinking back to my exam, I can honestly say that I don't understand how anyone can think that this was not a human being. It had all its parts, it was moving, it was alive. Why would you want to deprive yourself of the moment where you can see your little one for the first time? It just doesn't make any sense to me.
