It's kind of a slow news day right now. Most of what's out there is just repeats of what has been said before at the moment, and I've also been working on a baby quilt in between. So here is a link to a clip of Al Franken showing how sensitive he is to the concerns of Asian Americans. For those who don't see the significance behind what a hack comedian says, keep in mind that he's running for senator of Minnesota.
Incidentally, my feeling is that Al Franken is one of the biggest hypocrites. While touting better racial relations, he was coming up with borderline (some would say outright) racist skits when he was on Saturday Night Live (he got in trouble with his bosses at NBC with the infamous Limo for a Lame-O skit). He's also been known not to be the nicest to his employees, despite trying to be a champion for workers' rights.
